Obituary of Stanley F. Derby

Derby, Stanley Francis, 77 1/2 years old, of Williston Park died at home surrounded by his family on July 20, 2014. The "Best Guy in the World" is survived by his wife Kay, of 52 years; daughters Kathy Choo (Claude), Jean DeRosa (Dominick), Irene Gerland (Roger) & son Patrick (Rosemarie) and grandchildren Christopher, Dominick, Jennifer, Stephanie, Steven & Kayla. Reposing at the Weigand Bros. FH, 49 Hillside Ave Williston Park NY on Tuesday from 7-9:30 PM & Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9:30 PM. Cremated Remains will be inurned on Friday 7/25 at 10:30am in the Long Island National Cem. with military honors. He served as Commandant of the Marine Corps League, is a life member of the American Legion, Post 144 and was awarded Legionnaire of the year for outstanding Leadership & Service; a member of the VFW, Albertson and Corpus Christi Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Marine Corps League, BPO Elks Lodge, 901 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. He kept us laughing.
