I served with then CDR Beatty in Charleston SC in the OR and our paths cross many times after that. I will always remember her as some one who did the RIGHT thing always and stand for your convictions she taught me to do the same by example although she may never know that She treated my wife and daughter as if they where her own a quite hero who will be missed!
Captain Beatty was my mentor when we were both working in the Operating Room at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset NY in the early 60's. I learned so much from her and it was a wonderful surprise to see her again when our Navy careers crossed paths. Rest in Peace Florence

Flo was a great human being and friend of mom. Sadly, they both were called to heaven. Mom a day before Flo. Flo will be sorely missed and remember fondly. May she rest in peace.
