I first met Bob on February 26th, 1988 (my first day on the job). He showed the utmost kindness and appreciation towards me and to EVERYONE he encountered. What a pleasure it was to know Bob for 36 and a half years and having the honor to transition through 3 different companies alongside him. We had grown such a great professional relationship and bond throughout the years which everyone had learned to love. Bob spread my name like wild fire throughout Broadridge. At almost every meeting, Bob would begin talking about me. He would say” If you want to learn more about Broadridge’s culture, go speak with Dom.” What he failed to realize is I learned about the culture from him. He gave me the encouragement to continue to value my work because he valued his work. He encouraged me to be dedicated because he was dedicated. He encouraged me to love my work because he loved his work. He truly led by example. While Bob always expressed his love and appreciation towards me, my love and appreciation for him is greater. His warm and infectious smile, jokes, love, dedication and work ethics will be missed by all, especially me. To the Kalenka family: my and my family’s hearts and prayers goes out to you during this difficult time. I know what a rare gem has been lost here on earth. Just know that you and all of us have gained an Angel in Heaven.

I'd like to express my condolences to the Kalenka family. I am truly saddened to learn of Bob's passing.
I first met Bob at Herricks High School, attending classes and playing basketball together. We also worked at Foodtown in New Hyde Park at the same time. A friendship developed over late night beers after work, playing football on Sunday mornings, and attending concerts and Jet/Giant football games together. It continued into adulthood, attending each other's weddings, kid's 1st birthday parties, and social get-togethers with our families to watch Jet and Knick games.
A cherished memory is seeing Bob on my wedding video arriving at the Church ceremony carrying his young daughter Kristie in his arms.
Bob was a remarkable person. He was extremely smart and a gifted athlete (a rare combination), with a warm personality and tremendous social skills. Bob was incredibly trustworthy and a true friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob - RIP my friend, and be proud of all you accomplished in your brilliant life.

Sending condolences to the Kalenka family and all of Bob's loved ones. Growing up in Williston Park, and having many of the same families as friendly neighbors, it was hard not to have Bob involved in many similar sports and activities.
Eternal rest grant unto Bob, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

My deepest condolences to Bob’s family. I had the pleasure to get to know Bob when I worked in production, and he took the time to meet me in person for my 5-year Broadridge anniversary. At first I felt nervous, but he made it so easy to talk to him. He made me feel comfortable and I felt I was talking to someone I knew for a long time. Bob always had the warmest smile and made everybody feel appreciated. Bob's kindness and humbleness will never be forgotten - an excellent leader that will always be remembered in my heart. May God be with you and your family, Bob!

Dear Kalenka Family,
My deepest condolences on your loss. In my eyes, Bob was an extraordinary leader, mentor, friend, and human, who always expressed love for his family. As one of the associates to take part in the Management Training Program, I feel honored (and lucky) to have had the opportunity to learn about Bob, and Broadridge.
I remember interviewing with Bob in 2008 - he was my 4th and final interview. It didn’t feel like an interview though, rather a conversation where we connected and learned about each other. Within the interview, we talked about family and country clubs - I’ll never forget it. I’m forever grateful Bob accepted me into the Broadridge family. It allows me to learn and be challenged each day. I get to work with great people, which makes work more enjoyable. I even met my wife at Broadridge, and we started our own family. It can’t get any better - many thanks to Bob!
One older fond memory I have with Bob is when he announced his love for my red pants during an all-hands meeting. He also brought it up recently in his director’s meeting and asked me what color I was wearing that day (they were green). My most recent memory with Bob was a small dinner outing in November 2023. We had a great dinner, and we were all reminiscing about life. Glad to have shared this time with him. Bob will certainly be missed, and never forgotten. Rest peacefully.
