Obituary of Nicholas S. Siciliano

THE FAMILY IS ASKING EVERYONE TO WEAR A MASK

Ex-Chief and 15-year Ex-Commissioner of the East Williston Fire Department, U.S. Navy Veteran, and Family Man - Nicholas S. Siciliano passed away on December 18, 2022 in East Williston, NY at 94 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara Mellor Siciliano, his brother Tommy and sister-in-law Joan, his two sons, Stephen N. (Peg) and Christopher (Tara), along with his daughter, Eileen (Chip). He is a grandfather to six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Nicholas was born and raised in Mineola and moved to East Williston in 1963. In addition to his 53-year volunteer service in the EWFD, he was the past President of the North Shore Fire Council, President of the 8th Battalion Past Chiefs Association, President of the Nassau County Firefighters Holy Name Society, and President of the Volunteer and Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association of East Williston. He was a dedicated parishioner of the Church of St. Aidan for almost 60 years and served as Head Usher for over 50 years. He was a proud public servant who brought joy and personality to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all. The family requests in lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center, where Nicholas spent many years volunteering.
