We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Mike. I have so many great childhood memories of our families spending time together. Such a kind hearted man who loved his family so much. I remember his Irish brogue so well and my dad trying to imitate it. He lived a wonderful long life and now is reunited with his beautiful wife Delia. We’ll definitely have a Guinness in Uncle Mike’s memory. Prayers and condolences to all.
Love,
Carol and Bill Caracciolo

I only knew Mr Lydon (who always asked me to call him Mick) in the second half of his life through my wonderful friendship with his son Mike. Mick was such a gentleman and kind soul. Always quick with a smile and a story. We’re all so much better for knowing him. Rest In Peace Mick we’ll miss you greatly.

Dear Beautiful Lydon family,
I am sharing tears, and sending my condolences, love, and prayers for peace to you all. Your Dad (& Pop Pop) was truly one of my favorite guys. I loved talking to him, and had to hang on to every word to make sure I understood his brogue, because I never wanted to miss something funny he’d say! I remember the first time I came to Ann’s house and couldn’t believe at 15 she knew how to set up his beer and shot for him! And I also adored that your Mom & Dad would have their cereal bowls and silverware set on the kitchen table the night before for the next morning. I also remember the first time I sat for corned beef and cabbage in the dining room with your parents, and your Dad and I were hysterical laughing in tears at the table for some reason, I really think because he knew I couldn’t understand him! I will also always remember your Mom & Dad’s smiling, twinkling Irish eyes, their presence was heartwarming. Reunited with your Mom, he is at peace, and he is happy. Slainte Mick, I will have a beer and a shot in honor of you today. You are all beyond blessed that he was yours. We are all beyond blessed to have known him. XOXO
