My deepest sympathies to Bert’s entire family. I have know Bert for over 35 years, he was one of my first boyfriends and was always a gentleman. A gentle man for sure. He introduced me to Jimi Hendrix. We always remained friends and he was friends with my entire family. He was there for us when my brother, sister and mother passed on from this World. It was one of my mother’s only requests, that Bert handle her arrangements. I always assumed he would do the same for me and my brother. He was so good at his job and always a calming presence. He was an all around great guy, one of the really really good ones
and will be truly missed. Rest In Peace Bert. ♥️♥️♥️

Many wonderful memories of carefree/crazy nights at Herby’s bar with Bert behind the bar & Linda sitting at the bar(Disney shirt on) & pig roasts at Cunningham, block parties at Sean’s house. I cannot personally think of Bert w/o hearing the name “Brutus” which was the name my father Victor J affectionately choose to call him. My dad who has passed on 7 years ago would call Brutus whenever my folks were having family over. I have a large family & to seat everyone we were supplied with folding chairs from the funeral parlor. My dad loved to set them up in rows in the living room. Bert took care of everything for my in laws when We lost their son “Mikey Rotten”, as well as when we had to bury my grandparents. Bert has been there for so many of us & our loved ones on the next part of the journey always with a quiet strength & a calming elegance about him. Now that Bert is on the next part of his journey I will keep him in my prayers, and especially Linda & their children, his family and friends. “A Box of Rain will ease the pain and love will see you through”-Rest In Peace Bert.

Mr Wolf/ Bert was a mentor to so many young men in the Scouts of Troop 291 in Hicksville. Both Bert & his wife Linda have been great role models in our scouting family. My heart breaks for Linda and her family at the loss of there father, husband and the family anchor. Bert was a wonderful man, mentor, role model, example of a devoted Christian filled with love for all mankind. May his memory be a forever blessing to us all.

Bert was always always there to help us through difficult times when family loved ones passed. I always just assumed he be the one to handle it for me. So sad to see such a loss so young. My deepest condolences to Bert's family and friends.

"The strangeness of being at any wake/funeral is that Bert is not here to comfort us. It was Bert that you would call to bury a loved one. It was Bert who helped us bury our friends, our family. He was so professional and comforting to all in the room. He always maintained calmness and if he was rattled never showed it."
This part of the obituary resonated with me so much.
This time last year I had to bury my best friend, my father. I do not think I would have been able to handle such a difficult time without Bert. He exuded such compassion and care with a side of laughs. I can't believe one year later I will be returning for you.
"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." Wishing Bert's family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

In speaking to a friend of Robert (David Fagin) it was clear to me Robert touch the lives of many . It reminds me the words “ Make man in our image “ Yes in my humble opinion Robert reflected our Creator’s makeup. God is Love. When we lose a love in death it’s seems normal but not natural. The good news is Jehovah has a purpose to change that right here on earth . ( Psalms 37:10,11,27,29) Righteous men an women like Robert will live forever during these events from The Almighty God who can not lie. (Titus 1:2) How wonderful it will be to see an hear Robert in the flesh under peaceful conditions that will not end . For me getting to know Robert will be one of many . Don Sims
