Mary Ann Rose was a big part of my life when I was a young lad, and it was always a delight to see her whenever our paths crossed. She was always upbeat, always up for a laugh, had infectious optimism, and always welcomed me at both her home and her wonderful family events. She also had high expectations for your school grades, and did not hesitate to say if she felt you could do better. She was born to teach.
I consider her son George my best friend, and Michael and Kathleen are also two of my favorite people whose friendship I value, and who I would always try to help if they ever asked me. All three of them were smart, funny, and unpretentious growing up, and I know a big reason why was the very active role Mary Ann played as their mom when they were young. I always marveled in a competitive and respectful way how much better at writing George was than me in school as we attended St. Anne's & Holy Cross College together, and I have no doubt a big reason was the books Mary Ann required George to read before he was allowed to go out and play with me and the other boys of Fernwood Terrace.
She was never afraid to tell you what she truly thought, and I always admired that about her. She will be missed. I pray our paths cross again, and my condolences to her children, grandchildren, her sisters and the whole Mullally "gang", and to her beloved Zenny. I pray the Lord will enjoy her delightful company as much if not more than I. I feel privileged to have know her - she always seemed to have an energy I just always enjoyed to be around.
With great reverence,
Rick Jackson

It is a sad, sad day as we weep for our friend. The music has been quieted, as all the songs have been sung.....All the corned beef and soda bread have been savored....All the Irish coffee has been toasted. The party is truly over. There is no reason for celebration. Mary Ann is gone and all that are left are our cherished memories. We must laud her for that and remember the great times. Even the angels cry with us today, especially the Irish ones. God Bless Mary Ann. May she rest in piece

Mary Ann was loved and will be sorely missed by so many. I think she would be surprised at how much of her mother I have always seen in her. How much I wish I had been able to witness their reunion.

Mary Ann, a dear friend and fixture in our lives who was deeply generous, doggedly determined, very loving. Her beautiful smile and easy laugh lit up our lives. Mary Ann brought the gift of taking us in to her life which made so many others' lives more fun, more secure, more filled with opportunity and all the better for having known her.
Mary Ann, You are Jones Beach at 7:00 in the morning!
We miss you.

Nothing is more surreal than losing your friend, your buddy, your Sister. Maryann Rose we have walked so many roads together. We’ve laughed, cried, played and debated the ills of the world but always believed that the values we learned as children and believed to be true would win over injustices. You my friend were the kindest of the kind, happiest of the happy and noblest of the nobles. No one embodied truth and honesty more than you. Our hearts are broken and we will never be the same without knowing we can pick up the phone and call you. I am comforted by the thought that those we love don’t go away they walk beside us every day. It was said, It is not what you take but what you leave behind that is most important and you my friend have left a legacy of love to all the souls you’ve touched especially ours. Rest in Peace my Friend, Kathy & Dolores
