Rich started out as a customer but became a friend. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of his untimely passing. It would mean a great deal to me to be able to speak with a family member or friend who knew him better so I might pass on my condolences more directly and offer any support that I might that could be helpful. Rest in Peace, Richie.

We at the Care On-Demand Transportation services are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Cavallaro. We had the pleasure of speaking with him daily and providing transportation services at his request during the last months of his life. Upon reading his story, the things we knew of him were only further confirmed by the life he lived. Strong, compassionate, and caring. All our drivers, the reservations team, and all the staff here at UZURV would like to offer our condolences at the passing of your loved one. May you find peace and solace in this time of grieving,

Dear Rosemarie, Rich(Rosanne), Adriana(Sean), Dena and all the members of the Cavallaro & Sheehan families,
We share your grief, pain and tears as we mourn the passing of a truly remarkable and loving young man, our beloved Richie. Although the Lord called him home at very young age, his life here with us was one of God’s greatest miracles. He beat all the odds as an extremely premature baby, to not just survive, but thrive. Although the medical care required to sustain him as an infant cost him his vision, he was able to see us and the world more deeply than what was merely on the surface. He was an incredibly kindhearted, gentle and thoughtful person, with an infectious giggle, who exemplified how we should all conduct ourselves.
We are confident that now, with all the angels and saints, he is seeing the glory of God and when the Lord is ready to roll out the next angel wings upgrade, Richie will be the first in line to take them for a test flight.
Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, what God has ready for those who love Him.
Our deepest sympathy & love,
Rick, Lena, Daniella & Jennifer

Dear Rosemarie, Richard, Adriana and Dena,
I am deeply saddened to have learned of Rich's pasing last week. I
met Rich briefly in Orlando Florida at the 2015 NFB National convention.
We met again at the 2016 convention, but mostly we've kept in touch through
the years via HeyTell, that funny little app on his iPhone he was
always talking to in quiet moments during your family dinners, long drives
and family reunons. Like you, I appreciated Rich's can-do attitude and his
willingness to help others and share his knowledge. I too am an IT
professional, so we shared a common love of all things technological. Here's
a brief story about Rich in that vein that will keep him in my heart for
years to come and which I hope you'll enjoy. Twelve years ago, the
American Printing HOuse for the Blind released a portable book reading
product, the APH Bookport, a device similar to the more popular Victor
Reader Stream, which predated the Stream. I fell in love with the Bookport
and made it my book reading tool of choice, even after the Stream came out.
Even though I'm pretty sure Rich settled on the Streamas his book reading
tool of choice, he found it necessary to acquire a couple of these APH
Bookports, so he could say he was familiar with the technology. Having
settled on the Stream, however, the Bookports fell out of favor on Rich's
desk and new technology became interesting. However, in order to get the
new technology, it was necessary to pass the old technology on to make way
for the new. In the mean time, my Bookport became extremely worn and I
began looking for a replacement since they were long out of production. Rich
and I struck a deal and I became the recipient of his collection of
Bookports. Today, I have two of his APH Bookports, which, when I read
books using them, will remind me of him and the times we met.
I'm deeply saddened we lost Rich in the prime of his life, but I'm glad to
have met him and to have had an opportunity to get to know his fun, generous
spirit. Know that Rich was loved by all he met because all of us felt his
good heart.
With much love and many condolences,
Brian Buhrow
