Rummel Edward. of Williston Park, N.Y. on January 1, 2016. Beloved son of Patricia & the late Edward Rummel. Loving brother of Kevin (Karen) & Kim (John). Cherished uncle of Connor, Jack, Sean & Ryan. Dear nephew of Gerald & Susan Hobbs. Edward was a Sergeant in the NYC Police Dept. with 25 years of service, Captain in the Albertson Fire Dept. with 30 years of service to the community, Ex Chief and current Commissioner of the Mineola Ambulance Corp . Visitation will take place at the Weigand Bros. FH 49 Hillside Ave Williston Park NY Monday 7-9 PM & Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 AM at St. Aidan's Church. Entombment to follow at Holy Rood Cem. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SBA Sergeants Assoc. Widows & Orphan Foundation, the Albertson Fire Co. or The Families of FSMA.
