I came to know Phil while working in the Athletic Department at Kellenberg Memorial High School. He always made it a point to come in to see me with a hug and big smile. He was a sweet, good and kind man and will be deeply missed.

I had the priviledge of working with Phil my first year as a teacher at St. Raymond's. He helped me greatly that first year. He was a good friend. He will be missed by the St. Ray's family and the Kellenberg family as well. Phil was a true gentlemen and a gentle man. The kids enjoyed his classes very much. He was kind, loyal and dependable. A great example to his friends and his students. I shall miss him greatly. As it says in the Book of Wisdom (4:7-14), "But the just man, though he die early, shall be at rest." Rest in peace my friend.

Coach Ryan taught me the importance of hard work and dedication, and I am thankful for the time I was able to spend as one of his players.
