Obituary of Frances R. LaVista

Frances Rose La Vista was born on November 23, 1929 and was the fourth of five girls born to Anna and Charles Lallone. She is the beloved wife of the late Blaise Patrick La Vista. Devoted mother to Dorothea (Daniel) and the late Mary La Vista. Loving grandmother of Daniel, Michael (Kristen) and Lauren. Adored great grandmother of Luke, Emmett and Nolan Roper. Dear sister of the late Stella Caldarella, the late Ann Maimone, the late Jennie Palmieri and Marie Dowling. 

Frances grew up in Crown Heights Brooklyn during the depression. She attended New York City Public Schools and was a parishioner at St. Matthews Church, where she was married.  She and Blaise were totally committed to one another during their marriage journey of 62 years. 

At Queens College, where she was employed for twenty five years she took courses, and excelled in graphic design and the use of computers long before they became a household item.

During retirement, Frances and Blaise travelled and enjoyed life together until his passing in 2011. 

In her later years, she spent time with her sisters, daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. These times always brought her great joy. May she rest in peace.

Mass: Church of St.Aidan Monday 1/13/25 @ 10 a.m.
