Andrew C. Hogan

December 15, 1954 - January 5, 2025

Andrew passed away on January 5, 2025 at age 70 surrounded by family and friends after a two and a half year battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer.

Born in Flushing, Queens to Andrew (“Joe”) and Annette Hogan, Andrew was one of eight children in a boisterous Irish-American family.

Andrew was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 15. He retired from a career at the Department of Environmental Protection in 2008.

He was an avid boater and an active member of the College Point Yacht Club where his large family gathered from near and far every year to celebrate Christmas. He also collected model trains.

A quiet man with a booming voice, Andrew was known for his selflessness, humility, and gentle nature.

Andrew is predeceased by his beloved sister Kathy, niece Ariana, and son Damian.

He is survived by his wife Joan, sons Andrew (Georgina) and John, daughter Jill, and granddaughter Eleni. He is also survived by his siblings Judy, Ginny, Susie (Patrick), Reenie (Bobby), Timmy (Jenny), and Paul (Natasha), as well as his many nieces and nephews.
