I worked in the same building as Alice for multiple years at the Town of North Hempstead. She was always so kind and generous, sharing food from her garden. My condolences and prayers to her family and loved ones. She is missed!

Alice and I worked together at The Town of Hope and we walked on lunch hour being certain to keep her in the shade so her hair didn’t lighten its color. In spite of her two replaced knees I had to keep asking her to slow down. She was always in motion. When I retired she would call and the say “will you be home in 15 minutes”? You could set a clock. She’d be at the door with a cake she made but couldn’t keep in the house because her husband, Aldo was diabetic. It took many visits before she would come inside the house and sit briefly, because she was in motion. She finally sat for a while because her knees needed to rest.
One day she called and told me the name of a doctor I needed that she got as a recommendation from a lady in Johns Food market who she befriended. He became a life saver for me. Alice was always thinking of people and giving of herself. Her great pride was her family, especially her grandson Alexander. I finally met him, fully grown, and what a delightful man he is. He is big, strong, smart, gentle and caring. Like his mom and Nonny. He is a talented gentleman and Alice never missed a performance or anything related to him. He was always there to help her or just visit. His mom too became Alice’s delivery. Bringing a cake to my house with Alice in the car. Allison was always taking Alice places. Out East or visiting her family were favorites. She adored Allison & Alexander and her son Andrew. She took great care of her husband Aldo and was devoted to his well being. Everyone Alice met fell in love with her.
I love you Alice, in heaven, and will miss talking with you always. Ruth Littenberg

Aunt Alice will be dearly missed. She was a constant in our lives, going back as far as I can remember. Her laughter is like a warm light in our hearts, and we are so blessed that she was our aunt. The world could use more Aunt Alice's. We will always remember sitting around the dinner table laughing and laughing some more. It was always pleasant, joyful, and uplifting to be around her. We love you Aunt Alice and we hope you are with your Mom and Dad, sisters and brothers, laughing again. Love, Sylvia and Alan
