Gloria Anne Anelli of Mineola, N.Y. passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 8, 2024.  Gloria was born on February 6, 1926 living in Astoria, Queens until moving to Mineola.  She was in her home in Mineola for over 70 years.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Gloria was married to George for 54 years and cared for him at home throughout his illness with Parkinson’s Disease until his passing in 2002.

Her family meant everything to Gloria.  She was a mother to six children:  David (deceased) (Mary Jane), Doris (Mike), Lorraine (Mike), Nancy (John), Janice (David) and Denise (Bill).

She was a devoted grandmother to her 13 grandchildren:  Adam (Kim), Daniel (deceased), Matthew (Nicole), Anthony (deceased), Kristin (Kyle), Nicholas (Kristina), Chelsea, Alex, Joseph, Megan (Marcel), Claire, Grace and Sarah.

She was a proud great-grandmother to her 4 great-grandchildren:  Brayden, Camden, Charlotte and Cole.

Visitation will be held at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home Friday, November 15, 2024 4:00-8:00.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christin Church, 155 Garfield Avenue, Mineola on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:30.

Burial to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Old Country Road, Westbury.
