Murphy, John Richard, of Williston Park NY, was born April 29th,1941. He passed at the age of 83 on Friday, November 1st,2024. He was a loving father and contributed to the community on many levels including coaching, Big Brothers organization and volunteering at St. Francis Hospital. He is survived by his three sons Peter and his wife Ruth, Tim, John, his daughter Joan and first wife, Catherine.  He also has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He also spent a portion of his life with his deceased second wife, Choi. After a very successful life, his immortality has been cemented in the souls of all he touched. He will join his four brothers, Tim, Robert, Gerard and James in the next stage. His parents, Timothy and Bertha, will be joyous to welcome him home. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00am St Aidan’s RC Church. Interment St Charles Cemetery.
