John E. "Jack" Kearney Obituary

Beloved husband of 63 years of the late Patricia, loving father of Mary Hopkins (Nolan), Jack, Peggy Edwards (Dennis), and the cherished grandfather of Sarah, Ryan, Kevin and Brian. 


Jack grew up in Woodside and attended Bishop Loughlin High School. He was a Navy corpsman in the Korean War. Jack spent his entire career working for the Schaefer and Stroh’s Brewing Company making friends everywhere he went. After retiring “Mr. Kearney” spent over 20 years as a volunteer coach for both the boys basketball and baseball teams at Carle Place High School. He touched so many lives young and old and will forever be in our hearts. 


Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Weigand Bros. funeral home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park NY. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Hope RC Church, Saturday 10am. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
