Obituary of Ronald A. Schiller

Ronald Alfred Schiller, at 84 years old, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. A memorial service will be held in Williston Park, NY at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14 from 5-8 pm with a church service the following afternoon on Friday, March 15 at 2 pm in Levittown at the First Presbyterian Church 474 Wantagh Avenue (Good Shepherd Lutheran Church).

Ron was born in Baldwin, NY, the son of the late Otto Schiller and Mildred Schiller. Ron was a travel agent until his retirement and loved making others happy with their travel excursions.  He loved almost all sports, and was a devoted fan of the New York Mets and the Chicago Bears. Celebrating his children and grandchildren’s achievements made him the happiest.  He always considered himself to be a very blessed man.  He enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, and even visited seventeen baseball stadiums with his daughter Kimberly.  He enjoyed puns, dad jokes, making others laugh, but above all, he loved his children and grandchildren most.

Ron is survived by his sons, Robert, Christopher, Matthew, Daniel; his daughter Kimberly; son-in-law Christopher; daughter-in-laws Teri, Maria, Amber; and grandchildren Alicia, Kelli, Grant, Ellie, Annalee, Billy.
