Obituary of Arthur W. Johnson

Arthur Johnson of Glendale Queens was born on November 10, 1942 in The Bronx. Arthur was cherished devoted husband of 36 years to Valerie, beloved dedicated loving father to Jill, Douglas, Kenneth, Michael, David,  Suzanne, and Mary-Jo. Beloved Father in Love of Mike, Jennifer, and Lou. He was loving Pa to Aarin, Ryan, Tyler, Charlit, Louis, Matthew, and Maisie. Adored friend and neighbor to countless others.

Arthur was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served his country honorably. Arthur was an extremely proud third rail trackman with the New York Transit Authority for over 30 years. Arthur loved his life taking care of his family and all his extended family. He took care of his grandchildren and enjoyed cooking them "PAcakes" for breakfast amongst all the other delicious food he loved to cook especially firing up the BBQ. It never got old when Arthur told one of his stories about growing up in the Bronx or his favorite "train story".  He never got tired of taking an annual trip up to the Catskill Mountains each summer to sit on the porch and drink a cold beer.  He enjoyed listening to Irish music on a Saturday morning and just taking a subway ride or a walk on Rockaway beach. He will be missed by so many.
