Paul V. Kane Jr., proud Vietnam Veteran passed away on September 11, 2023, on his 52nd Wedding Anniversary to beloved wife Kathy Kane (nee Cassin). Adoring father of MaryKate, and her loving husband Nicholas Carlucci. Survived by his sister Helen Pepe, Fond brother-in-law to Marilyn Wotruba and Linda Cassin Cremin. Cherished uncle to Beth Mahon and Owen Tierney, Bob and Pegeen Wotruba, Susan and Marty Harte, Tom and Nancy Wotruba, Anthony Pepe, Nancy Pepe, and Paul Pepe. Great Uncle to Grace Tierney, Shay Mahon, Julianne Wotruba, Jack Harte, Sarah Harte, Caroline Wotruba, Ryan Wotruba, and Elle Wotruba. Cherished cousin, friend, and neighbor to many. Paul is a 50-year resident of Williston Park, NY. Long term parishioner of The Church of Saint Aidan.Born and raised in The Bronx, NY. Graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, Class of 1965. He worked as a Stone Derrickmen Rigger Local 197 and retired from NYC Department of Sanitation as a District Superintendent. Paul was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, loved a good Sudoku puzzle, enjoyed St. John’s basketball (Go Johnny’s!), was a talented carpenter, excellent cook at the BBQ, meat carver, and he never missed an episode of his favorite TV programs. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
