Obituary of Rita Grinsell

Rita Grinsell was born on June 1, 1932, in Jamaica, New York, to Mary and Joseph Pettinato.   She is survived by her son, Stephen and a family full of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon and her two siblings, Roger and Gloria.

Rita was a beloved member of her family and community. She regularly attended mass at Saint Aidan’s and was committed to her faith. From her book club to volunteering, she was deeply passionate about everything and everyone in her life. She was active with the Williston Park Seniors for many years, where she was often participated in her love of dancing and playing competitive yard games. She always had laugh to share, a story to tell, and food prepared for visitors. She will be greatly missed.
