Obituary of Kevin P. Flynn
Kevin Flynn, born and raised in Williston Park to the late Joan and Edward Flynn, passed on to be with the Lord on April 14, 2023 at the age of 59. Although his time with us has been abbreviated, he leaves behind a legacy with memories beyond measure.
A lifelong patriot, Kevin served proudly in the US Navy before returning home to meet his wife and adoring partner, Linda. The two married in 1986, and shortly thereafter became parents to Teresa Marie. Some years later in 1995, they would welcome a second beautiful daughter Lauren Margaret.
Kevin worked for many years as an auto mechanic on Long Island to provide for his family, and truly valued his role as husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend through all the many joys and sorrows of life's seasons. All the while serving family and the community with his various skills, Kevin's generosity and caring nature were infectious. Friendly and charming, his sense of humor never wavered, and in fact touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will certainly be remembered for his deep appreciation of music as well as his own personal talent in performing it. His community and church in Florida were fortunate to enjoy his many endearing qualities the last few years of his life, but perhaps not more than his immediate family, who witnessed their beloved Kevin become ever the more faithful and selfless with his time and energy.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Linda, children Teresa (Angelo) Cantatore and Lauren Flynn, and grandson Salvatore Cantatore. He also continues to watch over his siblings Edward (Debbie) Flynn, Daniel Flynn, Brian (Louise) Flynn, and Christopher, along with Elaine (Dennis) Levy, Diane (Wayne) Norris, and Gloria (Kevin) Grimes, as well as his mother and father-in-law Sara and Charles Dietz.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kevin's memory to a charity of your choice.
