Obituary of Arlene F. Babyak

Arlene (Mickey) Babyak of Williston Park NY passed away on Tuesday April 11 at the age of 73.

Mickey was born July 21, 1949 to Donald and Arlene Lehnert and grew up in Bay Ridge Brooklyn with her twin sister Patty and younger brother Don.

Mickey graduated from Notre Dame College of Staten Island and worked for General Telephone. She married John Babyak on July 24, 1971.  They settled down in Williston Park NY where they raised three children.

Mickey was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to caring for her husband and children.  She was an active member of St Aidan’s Church in Williston Park NY. She enjoyed crafting,baking, and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren,who know her as Grandma Mickey.  

She also loved live theater and going to see shows on Broadway. She was excited to pass along her love of musical theater to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband John and their three children: Arlene (John) Faye, Karen, and John. As well as two grandchildren, Kaitlyn (15) and Jeremy (13) Faye.
