It is often hard to find the right words at a time like this. May you find peace, comfort, and all the love you need in the days to come “I recall how much time you and your brother spent together visiting your mom. May all your wonderful memories comfort you during this heartbreaking time.”
“ A mother is with us always, first in her lifetime, then forever in our memory.” To John and Angela it was always a pleasure to give care to your Mom . May she rest in peace

Dear Angela, Johnny and Families, we are so sad to hear of Norma's passing. A beautiful woman has left us, but a beautiful spirit will be with you always, guiding and watch over her children and grandchildren. Norma was always a favorite at our Lake George gatherings. The Lady on the Lake. Sitting in her chair and watching us all. Giving sage advice and always smiling. I will never forget the day that she, Michael and I were in the car. Just the 3 of us. She told her story of her early life in Cuba and how she came here. Michael and I were fascinated by her life story. Her courageousness in coming here. And what she went through to get her. We will miss your lovely mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Rest in peace and sleep well sweet Norma. We love you and will miss you. xoxo. Tommy, Barbara and Michael

To the Aranalde family. It is with sorrow that I send my condolences to you during this time of bereavement. I met Norma on September 14, 2022. Norma and I were roommates at Sun Harbor Rehabilitation Center. Norma was a warm and compassionate person. Her family exemplified the teaching and rearing she showed them so that they would live an abundant life. Even through her illness, she showed her concern for others. I say to her children John and Angela, her son-in-law Peter, her grandchildren, her sister, her extended family, and those who were close to her to continue to cherish her memory and live by the teachings that she gave as she journeyed through this earth. I may not have known her as long as you, but she has left an indelible print on my life and my family that met her during their visits to see us. Our prayers are with you that Our Lord will comfort you and sustain you during this time.

To my dearest Aunt, my second Mom,
Your kindness, your loving ways, and your family values will always be imprinted in my heart. The memories of our shopping trips with my mother, family vacations in the station wagon to Florida and Bear mountain, our lives in Brooklyn and Queens and the famous pool parties at Hughes Place. You memory will live on in my heart forever.
Love you always,
Mady❤️

Some of my earliest and fondest memories of Norma were of being invited (at the age of 15) into a warm, loving and sincere home. I practically grew up in the Aranalde household. Running to Baskin Robbins with Angie and buying Doc and Norma their favorite flavor ice cream. The Sunday barbecues, wrapping Christmas gifts together on the kitchen table with the music in the background. Norma was like a mother to me. A beautiful soul, giving, devoted and an elegant woman. I will miss my “mom” with every fiber of my being. May you be at peace and in Gods hands. I love you ❤️
