Obituary of Dominick Conte
Dom was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Mineola. He was the youngest of 3 children. He met his wife, Joyce, at Mineola High School, and they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. They bought a house in Franklin Square where they raised their two children, Joe and Diana. They were the light of his life.
Dom loved the beach, home projects, reading, listening to classic rock and riding his motorcycle. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree in Energy Management and Teaching Certification. He found joy throughout his engineering career on Long Island and New York City. His passion for technology benefited his students who he taught at Lindenhurst and Herricks High Schools, as well as BOCES.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile that could light up a room. To know him was to love him and he will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
