Obituary of Leonard D. Lorusso
Leonard Lorusso passed away in his 98th year. He was predeceased byhis wife, Carmela. He is survived by his only son William and hiswife, Patricia, their two children, Peter and Christine and his sixgreat grandchildren.Lenny enlisted in the service 1943 during WWII and returned home onDecember 24, 1945. He was assigned to the Army Air Corp where heworked in a Heavy Construction Unit in China, India and Burma as awireman.His experience running cable and lines found him a job with New YorkTelephone when he returned from duty.Lenny retired from the phone company and moved to Ormond BeachFlorida where he enjoyed golf and fishing.He came back to New York after the passing of Carmela. He resided atthe Regency Assisted Living Center in Glen Cove where he participatedin as many activities as he could,.I've taken the DNA test !"God is my Father and Veterans are my Brothers and Sisters"
