Obituary of Caroline Zgutowicz

Caroline Zgutowicz, age 102, of Mineola, entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2022. Caroline was born in Syosset to the late Thomas and Aniela Nowak. Caroline is predeceased by her loving husband, Henry, and son Stephan. Stephan's wife, Olga, is deeply appreciated for all of her tremendous support given to Caroline throughout the years. Caroline leaves behind her son H. Gary Zgutowicz, and his wife Pamela, daughters Carolyn Amon, and her husband Robert, and Sandra Wenthen, and her husband Lawrence. Caroline has eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. 

Caroline loved to cook, entertain and was still bowling at the age of 90. She didn't hesitate to hop on a plane to visit family down South, and she loved to sit on the deck wrapped in a blanket gazing at the Jersey Shore. At 101, Caroline danced with her grandson at his wedding. Most of all, she loved having family around. Her age held no boundaries for her. 

Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Veterans Association, St. Jude or the Humane Society.
