Condolences to Herb's wonderful family and his many good friends. He was a good, caring, generous man whose love for his Roseann knew no bounds. They were rarely apart. He frequently made it known that the unconditional love and unwavering support he received from Ro made him a better man. He was so proud of his family and enthusiastically shared recitals, plays, sporting events, gatherings, holidays.... He was just a friendly and inclusive kind of guy who would be there for you no matter what. He loved life and was a very active participant whenever his medical issues permitted. He was also an intelligent, knowledgeable man who spoke in-depth on numerous and varied topics and yes, he was a talker. Herbie will be sorely missed.

The meeting of Herb and Roseann and family and meeting our family while camping was truly a blessing. It has continued for approximately 40 years and we have so many treasured memories of Herb. Our LI visits always included Herb’s fresh brewed coffee in the morning and fresh local bagels. We had such good times together in the US and Canada, from our home in Ontario to the Canadian North to see bears, Niagara Falls, Quebec City and Nova Scotia and in the US their home, Cape May, PA, Vegas,Texas and Washington, DC. We love you and will miss you dearly and we will never forget you.

Herb, my favorite brother in law as I oft referred to him, was an ever present figure in my life. I can count on my fingers the times I saw my sister, Roseann, without him.Their devotion to each other and focus on Herb's health, before, during and after Herb's transplant is remarkable and a model of commitment. Herb leaves an empty place in my heart that can now only be filled by the many wonderful memories of the times we shared. Rest In Peace, dear Herb.

I remember meeting Herb at a NY State Park in the Adirondack Mountains while camping with my parents in the late 70’s. I remember how friendly he was to my parents – “good morning neighbors, how about a coffee?”. He didn’t know us – but acted like he did for years. That was no act. Herb was as genuine as they come. Friendly, funny, loving and caring and sported one heck of a beard back in the day!. Our families hit it off at that moment and became very close over many years and the friendships are cherished – they became part of our family and we became part of theirs. I always looked forward to our visits with Herb, Rosanne, Evan, Rosanne and Emily. Back and forth from NY to Ontario. I have many great memories of Herb, I look up to him and admire his may great qualities. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I love you and miss you.
