Obituary of John R. Strafer

Strafer John R. Of Albertson NY on January 19, 2014 in his 83rd year. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy & retired from the NYC Fire Dept. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Strafer (nee Patterson). Loving father of Karen Callegari (Robert), Cynthia Robinson (James), Audrey Gutkes (John) & John T. Strafer (Marianne). Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Weigand Bros. FH 49 Hillside Ave Williston Park NY Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service Thurs. 9 AM at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cem. Donations may be made in John's name to Hospice Care Network or The Episcopal Church of the Ressurection.
