Obituary of Jennifer Munoz - Clavijo

Jennifer Patricia Muñoz passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 30th, 2022 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Jennifer was born in Jackson Heights, Queens on October 25th, 1975, to Tito Munoz and Imelda Munoz.

She is survived by her Spouse Alex Clavijo, two beautiful children Valentina Clavijo and Julian Clavijo, her mother Imelda Munoz and her brother, Andres Munoz.

Jennifer started her education at St. Mary’s Nativity Elementary School and St. Francis Preparatory High School. After this she attended Pace University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. She then attended Fordham University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor Degree.

Jennifer had a successful career in corporate law spanning over 15 years. During her career she reached the positions of Assistant General Counsel and Associate General Counsel. She had unwavering determination throughout her career. She was a proud Board member of Latino Justice PRLDEF, a civil rights and social action organization.  She however was not solely defined by her academic and career achievements. She was a loving wife and mother. Almost everything she did in life was for her family. She was an avid traveler, an aesthete, a dancer, a gastronome, and a great debater. She was neither ruled by emotion or logic but embraced both. Her smile and laugh were both endearing and contagious. She lived her life to the fullest and inspired us to do the same. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Jen will be held on Friday, July 8th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Weigand Brothers,at 49 Hillside Ave, Williston Park 11596.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to give to this charity in her name, https://www.ccalliance.org/?form=donate
