It has been a little over 2 years since you passed away and my tears are still flowing for you. You were my world and reason for living. I hate being here without you and miss you so much. There’s a hole in my heart as when you died a part of me went with you. I hope and pray we will be together again one day and I can hold you in my arms once more. A tribute to my husband, Donald J. Masterson Don was not only my husband of almost 55 years (our Anniversary would've been on July 9th) but MY BEST FRIEND AND LOVE OF MY LIFE! He was a loving, caring, Father and Grandfather. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. He was kind, and understanding and never got angry. We did everything together. He loved his daughters and was very active in their lives. Played tennis with them, ran the track with them, helped with a Newsday route with Debbie, our oldest and a Pennysaver route with Diane, our youngest. He was always there for them. Don loved to talk to people and would help anyone who needed it. He liked to tinker at his work bench and make things. Never had to ask him to fix anything, he just did it! He enjoyed making projects with his Grandsons like a park bench, skate ramp, and a go cart. He enjoyed playing the memory game with Kate when she was little ( who would always win) and enjoyed visits with Kayley in Florida. He absolutely loved going to Home Depot! He loved to travel and watch Blue Bloods on TV. He also enjoyed Holmes Inspection. That show would get him in trouble though, as he sometimes thought that what he was viewing on TV was actually happening in our house. That made for an interesting day. Always kind and loving, thinking of others. Unfortunately, Parkinsons Disease got him in the end. He put up a brave fight, but lost the battle. Thank God he didn't suffer for long. But the disease robbed him of a lot of his enjoyment in life. It was tough for him to get around and limited him as to what he could do. May you rest in peace my handsome man and may the Angels keep you safe~! Love you forever and Always! Ruth
