Obituary of Daniel Francis Eichele

Daniel Francis Eichele “Big Blue” passed into heaven on Friday June 10, 2022 at the age of 76 surrounded by his family. Born to Agnes and Daniel Eichele on April 1, 1946 in Astoria, NY, he was the oldest of 7 children. After High School, Dan served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He then worked 38 years for IBEW Local #3 as a high voltage cable splicer and supervisor. He additionally volunteered as an assistant scout master in BSA Troop 45 in Mineola for many years. Dan married the love of his life, Natalie, on March 17, 1973. They raised their children in Mineola, NY. Dan is survived by his loving family: wife Natalie, son Andrew (Melissa), son Steven (Jeanette) and daughter Cynthia. He has 4 beautiful grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Tanner (deceased), Chase (12), Justin (10) and Brianna (8). Dan will be missed beyond measure.
