Obituary of Frank P. Chiusa

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Frank P. Chiusa (50), formerly of Farmingdale, died suddenly 31 May 2022.  Loving husband of Maja (Ferrara) and devoted father of Antonio Joseph (AJ).  Beloved son of Antonio and Sheila (Meech).  Cherished brother of David (Mary), Jo-Ann DiCarlo (Tom), Anthony (Sandy) and Philip (Kelly). He was a loving uncle of fourteen.  Also, survived and missed by his life-long friend and best man, Robert Keteltas (Adria), his extended Von Braunsberg, Ferrara, and Garneau family members and countless friends.  Frank was a block operator for the MTA LIRR and supportive member of the TCU in solidarity with his union brothers and sisters.  He was also a proud member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).  In addition to his passionate avocation as a pilot, Frank was an accomplished guitarist and avid AC/DC aficionado.  He played hockey for Farmingdale High School and was a lifelong Islanders/Mets fan.  Frank also enjoyed gardening and was a good cook – his caponata, trifle, & chili will be missed greatly.  Frank was sensitive and caring, had a clever wit and contagious smile, was always ready to assist, gave sage advice, and was a best friend to Maja.  His absence is profound.
