Obituary of Joseph Cardone

Joseph Michael Cardone, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29th at Good Shepherd Hospice at Mercy Hospital.

Joe was born on June 1, 1927 on Mulberry Street, LIttle Italy, NYC and grew up in Sunnyside, Queens. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and was drafted into World War II. He married his late wife Dolores (1939-2019) and had two sons, Joseph and Anthony and raised his family in Flushing, Queens. Joe was a retired Life Insurance Salesman who started working for MetLife on June 24, 1963 and remained with the company for over 40 years. He enjoyed Fly Fishing and stamp collecting.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Tony and Rosemarie and his wife of 51 years, Dolores. He is the beloved grandfather to Gabriella, Christopher and Tony.
