Obituary of Frances Paoline Crafa

Frances Paoline Crafa of New Hyde Park passed away peacefully on May 8^th at the amazing age of 92. She was born in Flushing, NY to the late Joseph and Angelina Macina. Fran is also predeceased by her husband of 43 years Edward, her brother Donald and sister-in-law Sara. Fran is survived by her two children Janine and Fran, son-in-law Charlie, proud grandma of Charles and Maggie, and loving aunt of Angela and Eddie.

Before retiring, Fran worked in insurance for many years at Aetna and Travelers, and also owned Fran’s Laundromat in New Hyde Park and Valley Stream. She spent her later days listening to audio books, watching her favorite game shows – Wheel of Fortune, People Puzzler, Match Game, and Family Feud – and listening to Yankees games. Fran also doted on the many rescue dogs she welcomed to their furever home and loved very much.  

We would like to extend a special thank you to all who provided care and support that allowed her to remain in her home even though health and mobility had recently declined.
