Obituary of Frank Nunzio Musumeci
Frank N. Musumeci
Born March 25, 1925 in New York City to Philip and Vincenza ( Jane) Musumeci. He passed peacefully in his home in Florida on January 19, 2022. Frank is survived by his three children Carol Kozak (Kevin), Joanne Tosi (Steve) and Frank Musumeci (Linda - deceased), and two loving grandchildren Daniel Kozak and Christina Musumeci Barth-Paniz (Matheus). Frank's wife and mother of his children, Aline Marceau of Quebec Canada, died in 2003 after a valiant three year battle with cancer. He later married Lois Brown who has since passed away.
A World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy on board the USS Frost DE-144 as a radioman, he was selected for top secret service on high frequency direction finding (Huff Duff) equipment. The Frost received 7 battle stars and a Presidential Unit Citation for the sinking of enemy submarines. He was so proud of his time in the Navy and organized annual reunions bringing together many of his shipmates. He was the "last man standing" of all his shipmates.
Frank began his career in journalism after graduating from New York University and ended his career in 1989 as Chief Operating Officer of Gintel & Company, a bond brokerage firm.
He was a loving father and grandfather and we are blessed to have had him in our lives all these years. Rest in eternal peace Dad.
