Obituary of Kathleen Clare Finn

Kathleen Finn (nee Mehrman) of Williston Park, passed away peacefully in Honesdale, PA on March 29th of 2022 at the age of 83. She was born on August 14th, 1938, in Queens, NY.  Kathleen was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Mehrman.

Kathy graduated from Molloy College with a Degree in Primary Education. She then went on to work in various Parochial schools in Queens, NY, while living in Forest Hills, NY. After marrying her late husband Donald Finn, Kathy moved to Williston Park, NY and dedicated her time there to homemaking and her 2 children, James and Karen Finn.  She also volunteered in various community events and was a member of the PTA and the special education PTA.  She developed many lasting relationships with her church friends and family and was a Eucharistic minister, pray group and Rosary Society member at Saint Aidan’s Church in Williston Park, NY.  She lived in Williston Park up until 2013 and then moved in with her daughter, Karen Roarty, where she spent the rest of her happy days with her daughter, son-in-law, and her grandchildren.

Kathy was pre-deceased by her parents, Charles and Gertrude Mehrman, her sister Marie O’Mara, Husband Donald Finn, and son James Finn.  She is survived by her daughter Karen Roarty, grand children Theresa, James, Daniel, and Kerryn Roarty along with her nieces Janine Kane, Ellen Levine and Caron Morrow along with their families.
