Obituary of Lillian A. Giordano

Giordano, Lillian A.  (nee Tumia) 84, Albertson, NY, passed suddenly on Friday, December 17th.  Born on August 24, 1937 in Brooklyn, daughter of  Lucy and Emanual Tumia. Preceded in death by her husband Michael, her mother Lucy and father Emanual.  Survived by her son Daniel (Carol), granddaughter Dana, grandson Andrew, and friend Anthony Catalano. She worked for Manufacturer Hanover Trust Bank, Chemical, Bank and Chase Bank. She was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of St. Aidan’s Church in Williston Park. She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5253, Ladies Auxiliary of the Williston Park American Legion, St. Aidan’s Rosary Society, Herricks Leisure Club, Herricks Seniors and AARP. But most of all she was a devoted family person, she loved her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren unconditionally.  She will be remembered lovingly and missed always. Services will be held on Monday, December 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park.  Albertson H&L, E&H Co. No. 1. Firematic Services at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aidan’s Church, 505 Willis Avenue, Williston Park. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Maspeth Queens to follow. In lieu of flowers,  donations in her name can be made to: NYU FACES - Epilepsy NYU Langone Health Office of Development and Alumni Relations One Park Avenue, 5th Floor New York, NY 10016 or Canine Assistants, Canineasstsants.org
