My beautiful friend and birthday brother Kris will live on in my heart until it’s my time to fawn over him again. This has hit me harder than any other death I have experienced in my lifetime. I miss you more than you would have ever imagined. I’m certain that each and every single person who has ever gotten close to Kris is deeply affected by his absence. I first met Kris at grasshopper comics in East Williston when I was fourteen years old; Kris was fifteen at the time. I went to Wheatley high school and he attended Chaminade. I have always been very fond of Kris since I was a young girl because of how funny and charismatic he was - I used to attend the Friday night Chaminade dances hoping to get a glimpse of Kris. After fifteen plus years of knowing Kris, I know the following to be true: 1) he loved his mom and his grandma 2) he loved his younger brother 3) he loved New York City 4) he loved life 5) he lived life, hard and fast. Kris never ceased to make me laugh, because he was a genuinely funny and charismatic young man. I am extremely saddened to hear of his passing and I sincerely hope he is resting in peace.
