Capt. Boyle was one of the Brooklyn North Detective Division Captains and was a true gentleman and cops cop. He always let the Detectives do their job and earned mine and all the Detectives I worked with. I saw him a few years back at a small party and spent some time talking with him, I’m glad I had the opportunity! May you Rest In Peace Cap!

There maybe a dozen individuals that one encounters in his life that touches them is such a manner that you can say that just knowing them made your life better. For me, Captain Patrick "Paddy" Boyle, whom I had the great pleasure of working with in Brooklyn North Narcotics, is one of those people. The definitive Irish Gentleman. He was a funny, kind, compassionate, virtuous gentleman whose mere presence would always make you smile. St. Peter better be ready for a few cocktails and a pushup contest. RIP you wonderful, dear, sweet man!! My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family whom ,I have no doubt, have enough wonderful memories of him to last generations.

Pat was part of our Tuesday foursome at Marine Park. What a great guy! He kept us all laughing and talked for 18 holes. Always spoke about his children and grandchildren and set his alarm to call his wife to remind her to take her medicine. He will be missed by all of us.
Condolences to his wife and family. Rest in Peace.

Sending my condolences to Barbara and her family. Paddy was the BEST! He treated everyone he met with dignity and respect. Paddy was a breath of fresh air when he walked into the squad room. And, he had moves like Jagger on the dance floor. Captain Patrick Boyle, you will be sorely missed.
Respectfully,
Jim Kennedy
