Obituary of Anthony Maggio

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anthony was the beloved husband to the late Carmen. He was survived by his daughters Linda, Anita, their husbands- Vinny and Jim, his grandchildren Kristen and Paul and great grand daughter Ada. Also by his sister Rose and other nieces and nephews.

His faith in God was his anchor.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW2.

He attended Brooklyn College on a scholarship and earned his Bachelor's degree in education and language. He worked in Manhattan law firms as a Legal Secretary and often worked overtime.

He had a selfless love toward his family coupled with a strong sense of responsibility.  He led by example of how to treat others, and had a humble personality.  His stability and endurance was that of a solid rock. He was one to anticipate and plan, and often with his practical outlook recognized that which was not necessary and often stated:  'It's not necessary'.

His hobbies included gardening, photography, history, scrabble, chess and the study of language.  He had a curious mind and enjoyed learning.

In lieu of sending flowers; please donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Humane Society/ASPCA or Samaritan's Purse (Disaster Relief)

Your prayers during this time are and will be appreciated.

In appreciation, the family of Anthony Maggio
