Obituary of Maureen k. Gistedt

Gistedt-Maureen K., passed away July 20,2021 at the age of 81. Born in England and raised in County Mayo, Ireland she emigrated to the U.S. at 17 yrs. of age. Married to the late John Gistedt for 58 years. Adored mother of Susan (the late Dave), Linda, Patricia (Sal) and Karen. Cherished grandmother of Shae, Kyle, Michael, Hannah, Rebecca, Erin and Maureen. Beloved sister of Tom (Liz) and Nancy (Walter) and Liz. Maureen is survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Maureen will be remembered for her infectious smile, compassion, humility and strength. Reposing at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial on Friday 11:15 am at St. Aidan’s RC Church in Williston Park, NY.
