Obituary of Josephine S. Jansen

 Jo was born in Bushwick, Brooklyn to parents of German heritage. Grew up with three siblings and together, they survived the Great Depression. She married Ellwood Jansen, a truly handsome man, as she would say. 

She was mother of 5 boys and 4 girls-all of whom were gifted a strong Catholic faith. Recitation of the rosary as a family, was important to her and family was just as important. She loved people and social gatherings, bringing a joke or two to any celebration was commonplace. Her active involvement in American Legion Auxiliary, St Aidan’s Rosary Altar Society, Williston Park Seniors kept her busy and social. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
