Obituary of Joseph Garcia

On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Joseph Garcia, passed away at the age of 82. He was very recently predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years and is survived by their two children and six grandchildren. Joseph was born on November 11, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son to the late Joaquin and Celia, and is survived by his sister Celia. He married the love of his life, Victoria M Garcia, on September 3, 1961 and was the loving and devoted father to Joseph (Joanne) and Dolores (Daniel). He was blessed with grandchildren, Alexis, Nicole, Joseph, Eric, Alan and Steven. He was drafted and served active duty for 2 years in the Army, received an Expert Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter and Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a Draftsman at a woodworking company and worked his way up to becoming the Plant Supervisor. Joseph loved spending time with his family, extended family and friends and was always welcoming people into his home. He was involved in local sports, attended many school games and volunteered to coach baseball teams throughout the years. He loved doing puzzles, word searches and Sudoku and was an avid Ranger fan who had season tickets for over twenty years.
