Sincere condolences to my Aunt Alice, Ann ,Susan,Chris,Ryan and Mary. Dick was such a generous, kind polite man who was an e exemplary husband ,father and granddad. He was always a welcome visitor here to Ireland and I have many happy memories of his visits to Alices family home in Lukeswell when I was a child as well to my own home In Celbridge. Dicks hospitality knew no bounds on our visits to New York and Ferncroft Road felt like a home from home.Alice and the girls are lucky to have such a wonderful kind man in their lives . May he now rest in peace.

The McHales: Prayers for Alice, Ann, Susan and Chris, especially at The Holidays... Thinking of Memories of Dick, Alice & Family in Noreen & Bill Stephens' NY backyard BBQ's, when the girls were small... 4th of July Sparklers & Watermelon Pit/Crabapple contests... Susan's Eulogy was a grand tribute to her kind, gentle & funny Father...and he WAS funny! Also, what a marvel that 40 people from the USA & Abroad could, with the flick of a switch, clearly & easily attend Dick's Funeral Mass, en mass, over The Internet. The Kean Family sends their love to Aunt Alice, Aunt Ginny & Aunt Nora and especially Ann & Susan and the rest of Uncle Dick's extended family. We had many good Christmas days at Aunt Nora's & Uncle Dan's celebrations where the Walsh Clan and my family got to know my wife Christine's uncle and family. I have very fond memories of those times together with them and remember Uncle Dick as a fun guy to be around. For me it is a time to rejoice his accomplishments of raising such a wonderful family together with his dear Alice.

I knew Richard for 45 years. I knew him as a devoted husband to my aunt and a good father to his daughters, and as a kind and fine man. I am deeply saddened at his passing.
