Obituary of Nance E. Cosgrave

Nance Hlavac Cosgrave, 93, of Bear Creek, formerly of New York passed peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. Nance was born on February 10, 1927 in Queens, NY to the late Emil and Anna Stadnik Hlavac. Upon retirement she loved to travel, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed tending her gardens in NY. She was very active in the VFW ladies auxiliary on Long Island and loved BINGO. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Cosgrave. She is survived by her sons Paul Cosgrave (fiancée Robin Williams) and Peter Cosgrave (wife Terri) and daughter Susan Dixon (husband Dwight); grandchildren Matthew Cosgrave, Vanessa Homuth and Melissa Dicke, Kelly Croft, Kevin Cosgrave, and Andrew Cosgrave; great-grandchildren Andrew and Katherine Homuth. A private funeral service for family will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 1:00PM at Miller Boles Funeral Home Chapel, 1150 Fire Tower Road, Sanford, NC 27330.
