Obituary of Anne Lucenti

On Saturday November 28, 2020, Anne Lucenti, loving sister and aunt to six nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully at 95. Anne, also known as Anna, was born on February 6, 1925 in Corona, NY to Mary and Pasquale DeBonis. Anna married Vincent Lucenti in 1946 and they remained together for 41 years until his passing in 1987. Anna worked in fashion in her younger years, then in administration at Herricks Middle School, and she retired from Shelter Rock Library at age 87. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St Aidan's Church for 42 years. Anna was an avid reader of books, consuming at least one book every week. She was a devoted caretaker to her sisters and parents in their time of need. She generously gave to various charities to help people who needed help and she was passionate and supportive about animals. Anna was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Pasquale, and by sisters Gloria, Dolly and Helen. She is survived by her sister Mary and nieces Gloria, Linda, Patricia and Carol and nephews Ronald and Marco. A mass will be held at St Aidan's Church on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at 10AM with burial services following at St Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, NY, but in light of the pandemic, her family asks that anyone wishing to attend participates virtually via staidanparish.org (scroll down and click on live).
