To the family of Diane,
Diane was a very good friend of mine in high school. After we graduated, everyone went their separate ways and we lost touch with each other. I’ve thought about her many times over the years and tried a few times to find her. I just did a search recently and was saddened to find her obituary. From all the messages left on here from family and friends, I can see she had a very happy, full life. I wouldn’t expect anything less of Diane.

Diane was my dear, sweet sister. She was a wonderful and loving woman with a radiant smile, vibrant spirit, and strong faith. She laughed often, lived joyously, and loved unconditionally. The vacations I spent with her, her husband, Jim, my husband, Pat, and daughter, Patricia, have given me some of my most cherished memories. We spent time at Hilton Head, Disneyland, Florida, Hershey Park and Newport. How lucky was I to spend these moments with someone who loved to have such fun. Diane had a special connection with my daughter and Patricia had, and always will have, a very special place in her heart for Diane. She loved her very much. Diane adored her husband, Jim, had a very special relationship with her brother, Jimmy, cherished her family and friends and loved her pets and all animals. She was beautiful, caring, compassionate, gentle, extremely generous, kind and thoughtful. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or special moment and always sent a card to mark the event. We always laughed when we sent our cards to each other and they turned out to be the same. We had a strong bond, and she was my true friend, confident, co-conspirator and shopping partner. We had a great time shopping but the best times were our one-on-one talks in the car going back and forth to the mall. These times were so meaningful to me. My sister dealt with her illness with great courage and grace and she refused to let it rob her of her passion for life. She never bemoaned her lot in life and never wanted anyone to feel sorry for her. She kept that brilliant smile and pleasant nature to the end. She was the strongest woman I have ever known. She was exceptional and extraordinary, and she will always be my hero.

Dear Di,
On Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm I was left with a void in my life and emptiness in my heart. I lost my Best Friend. I met Diane and Jimmy 13 years ago in Ft.Lauderdale where they lived at Sunrise Harbor. My life was blessed so much with these two people from Long Island New York.
We had so many good times at Irlelands Inn, the beach and every restaurant that served us was a better place because of us! We laughed, drank and Diane always had the best stories to tell. She used to laugh so hard and say; Bet, you're a pip! I never knew what that meant but I didn't care because I loved hearing her say it! She was the most beautiful woman entering a room, everyone took notice, she was all class and glamour. The dress matched the shoes, the shoes matched the jewerly, the jewerly matched the purse, her hair was long and flowing, she celebrated being a woman, I loved her so much.
Her generosity had no bounds, she remembered every birthday, every holiday and every special occasion, and would celebrate it like it was her favorite day! I will forever miss not hearing from her on these special occasions. You could call her anytime of the day or night and she would always listen and give her best advice. My Heart is broken with her loss. Heaven is a much brighter place with this beautiful angel now. Diane, I will never forget you and forever love you. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.
Love, Betty Boop

We love you and will miss you terribly. I know I speak for Michael as well as myself by saying our lives have been abundantly enriched from having had you as a friend. You were larger than life - a beautiful woman inside and out. The Bible's definition of a Beautiful Woman and The Wife of Noble Character is in my favorite Proverb; 31:25 "Strength and dignity are her clothing , and she smiles at the future" I believe that was written for you my friend.

A tragic loss for us all. Diane was a person who lit up a room with her vitality and personality. After meeting she and Jimmy, we wondered why we don't have more people like them in our lives. She exuded generosity and positivity. We are blessed to have known her. She will be greatly missed in Florida.
