Frank was my first best friend. I have kept this silly memory of the two of us sitting on the steps to the upstairs in my house on Bengeyfield Drive with my mother making sure that both of us tied our laces properly. Meaningless, perhaps, but all the more poignant for me that this memory of Frank stayed with me all these years. Good bye, old friend.

Before the Faruolo family moved to East Williston, Frankie lived in Albertson. He was the neighborhood organizer of baseball and football games and always included those that were less athletically inclined (such as myself). I will always remember the backyard "showdowns" between Frank and Bobby Bush - the best athlete from North Side versus the best athlete from IU Willetts. All was in good fun. My mother - still living at 93 - was shaken by Frankie's passing. "Other than your own children, how many kids do you know since they were five years old." There wasn't a sweeter or more gentle soul. My sincere condolences to the Faruolo family. Rest in peace my brother. I'm a better person for knowing you.

Dear Family of Frank Faruolo,
It saddened me greatly to read of Frank's passing.
In school, Frank was one of my dearest friends.
Whether it was Football or Baseball, he was always great fun to be with.
I know one of Frank's greatest feats on the Football field was when he blocked a punt against Locust Valley and recovered it in the endzone.
It was our only score.
I met Frank almost 60 years ago when the school district ran their Summer Rec Program.
We played golf at Eisenhower Park on a frigid March day and Frank's talent was remarkable.
When you think that it is almost 50 years since we graduated Wheatley High School, the time seems to have washed away.
I am proud to say Frank was my friend and I was his.
I pray that his family can take solace in their memory of him and that he really is waiting on the tee for that foursome ahead of him to tee off.
My Deepest Condolences,
Barry Lipsky

Kind & gentle always but in our early days he could throw that speedball by you... then apologize.

Rest in peace Frank ❣️ For 3 years + Frank picked me up in his taxi and took me to work and picked me up after work 4am and took me home. More often than not we would stop at the diner eat and talk about everything and anything. I really got to know that he had the kindness heart and really cared about people! I will always remember those conversations and the friendship we established. Thanks for those times Frank. Hugs

I am so sorry to hear the news. Tommy and I were best friends from first grade on, and Frank was always a part of our lives. I remember Frank as a kid on Argyle Road, 17 Post Avenue, and then on Fulton Street in the apartment he shared with Tommy. We would love to laugh with Frank, who always enjoyed Tommy's (and my) antics. He would roll his eyes, shake his head, but ultimately wind up laughing along with us. I will always remember him and the love that Tommy and he shared as loving brothers. My love to all in his family. With much love and sympathy, Rich (Richard) Weissman
