Obituary of Anne R. Murphy

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Murphy, Anne of Coram and Williston Park, NY returned to her heavenly home on July 16, 2019. Much loved wife of the late Clement Murphy and devoted mother to John and Patricia. Loving grandmother to Ricardo(Selin),
AnnMarie and Evan. Loving known as Aunt Anne (pronounced AuntDan) she is survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved to send birthday cards to be received ON your birthday. She loved to talk on the phone. She was the happiest at a family or neighborhood party.
Anne was married in 1949 and moved from the Bronx to Williston Park. As a wife, mother and homemaker she became immersed in the Catholic community of St Aidan’s and would be her support for over 50 years. She was a lifetime member of the Rosary Alter Society and school PTA helping to organize many activities.
Anne moved to Mineola but remained active in St Aidan’s and worked as a lunch room aide in a Garden City school. She also volunteered for years as a cashier in the gift shop at St Francis in Roslyn.  Eventually she moved to Coram to be closer to her daughter and lived there for over 8 years.  Anne became active in the St Francis Cabrini church and made many new friends.
From the very beginning Anne dedicated her life to God and had devotion to all her family. She was an unfailing example of faith and practice to all. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends who celebrate the fact that she is reunited with many loved ones who have gone before and at peace with her creator.
The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted at the website
