Obituary of Lester C. Teemsma

Teemsma, Lester of Mineola NY on December 27, 2018 at the age of 91. Les was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Joan. Married for 52 years Joan and Les had 9 Children. Robert (Kyle), Richard (Kim), Patricia Domanick (Jack), James (Jackie), Bill (Vivian), Thomas (Lisa), Michael (Gail), John and the late Ellen Colgan (Bob). Proud grandfather of 27, great grandfather of 45 and 1 great-great grandchild. Les was a proud NYPD Officer and retired as a sergeant in 1973 after 20 years on the job. He then became a Prudential Insurance Agent for 15 years. Les also served as the Commander of The American Legion Williston Post #144 from 1991-93. He enjoyed all the parties and dances at the post. He also loved all the senior trips that they had to offer. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:45 am Corpus Christi RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to:
